CBS: it's all just media now
We've known for some time now that what we all called "new media" 10 years ago isn't new any more. CBS made some headlines at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas by turning that into a soundbite.
This story from C|Net reads like a press release, but there are nuggets in it worth finding. Most impressive to me is the extent to which CBS seems to be moving beyond saying the right stuff about change and actually behaving differently.
We all need to embrace the opportunities that networked, distributed digital media present. I know it's tough to sustain the essential journalism you're doing in print alongside an urgent move into new realms (driving down the freeway while changing your oil yada yada), but that just happens to be where we find ourselves nowadays.
