Ads on the front page :)

Well, at least on the front page of this blog.

Trained observers like you will have noticed, no doubt, that a single line of Google AdSense advertising now appears (or soon will appear) above the lead post here on Etaoin Shrdlu. It's not some sinister intrusion, or a harebrained plan to bail us out the current revenue malaise. I just thought it would be interesting to see whether this blog would attract any of Google's contextual advertising (it takes a while for them to categorize us, apparently); if so what the ads would be about; and, finally, what it would pay.

I'll provide a full accounting if we make any money here.
