Out here in California's Central Valley, we have a pretty good kinship among the "three Bees" and the Merced Sun-Star. As if to illustrate the point, Modesto Bee Editor Mark Vasché at left helps Sun-Star Editor Joe Kieta line up a shot during a croquet match at a California Society of Newspaper Editors meeting. We're glad that the San Luis Obispo Tribune has joined the fraternity in California, and we welcome all the other newcomers to the McClatchy clan.
